Jenn Sykes did that whole politics thing for a while, and then decided she was too much of a nerd to participate in it effectively. Instead, Jenn enjoys using theories like conditional party government and directional voting to explain the real world. In her past life she worked for a student lobbying group, the campaign that derailed macaca man, and the WM Student Assembly (which is like the old Gingrich-Clinton wars, but with more alcohol and less adultery). Jenn is a current PhD student in political science and wants to work for Brookings when she grows up. In her spare time she enjoys trashy celebrity news blogs, sleeping, and Shiraz.
